This property is sure to be a favorite for visitors looking for unparalleled ski-in, ski-out, slope side luxury in the Moonlight Mountain area of Big Sky, Montana. It is one of a very few Moonlight Basin Properties with direct access to both the Six Shooter and Iron Horse lifts.
The Unit occupies the top floor with luxurious comforts and dramatic views of the Spanish Peaks. Upon entry, you’re welcomed by an open floor plan great room with soaring 25ft ceilings, windows framing picture perfect views, a wood burning fireplace for warmth and inviting interiors that beckon you to unwind, relax, and switch to vacation time.
The gourmet kitchen boasts high end amenities and a 6 burner Wolf range with griddle and dual oven, every chef’s dream come true! Dine inside in elegance or step outside for year-round alfresco dining on the large, covered deck with an outdoor fireplace and private hot tub for true après ski luxury.
This 3,500 square foot unit has three en-suite bedrooms on the main level, and one en-suite bedroom upstairs with a sleeping porch adjacent to it. The main level bedrooms include a luxurious king master complete with a stone clad fireplace, flat screen TV, quiet seating area, and outdoor access. An en-suite queen/twin bunk room and an en-suite king are also located on the main floor. The upstairs bedrooms include a queen and two twins. There is a loft area located upstairs with plenty of seating and a TV which provides an additional gathering place. Also located on the loft is a Peloton bike.
This unit is one of four properties occupying a fourplex building which features a private, heated garage, heated sidewalks, an elevator, and its own fully equipped gym located in the building. Luxury Suite 2D also features a private ski locker area with closets, ski racks and boot dryer adjacent to the garage.

Ski Access is king at Cowboy Heaven Luxury Suites, with direct ski-in/ski-out access to Big Sky Resort and 5,850 acres of the biggest skiing in America! Lift start date varies, but typically early to mid-December. No access until lifts open or after lifts close. Direct access to the Madison Base Area Ski School makes morning lessons a breeze.
Ski Out:
Access is located out the front door on the main level. A 10 yard walk out the front door to the right and you are on your skis on the Bootlegger access run that heads straight to the Iron Horse and Pony Express lifts by the Moonlight Lodge. If you wish to head to the Madison Base area for ski lessons, once you get on the Bootlegger Access run you will pass a group of homes on the left. Directly after, take a left onto Alpine Meadows Trail which connects to Hideaway and the Madison Base area.
Ski In:
Can be done from either Moonlight Mountain or Big Sky. From the top of Iron Horse lift or Six Shooter, follow signs for Powder River. Ski through the concrete tunnel and PAST the first skier bridge on your right. Take a hard right turn on Natawista which is the first right after the bridge. Follow this access over a skier bridge. DO NOT turn left onto a bridge . Stay right. It will transition to Bootlegger over a bridge and Cowboy Heaven Luxury Suite 2D is the first building to the left after the bridge.

Cowboy Heaven Luxury Suite 2D
Cowboy Heaven 2D is an ideal place for a group of friends or family. Location is great and is a true ski in/out. While the place is setup more for families, we had a group of 10 adults and everyone gave it a thumbs up. All the amenities you need.

Cowboy Heaven Luxury Suite 2D
Great house, great location, all good, and we especially appreciated there being so much firewood available. The garage door wont open via the 1524 code from the outside but it will close with that code. Weird, but no problem. We think the owners should not lock up the entire pantry; perhaps they could store personal items in the ski locker or something. But no biggie. Our only real criticism is the thermostats which are pathetic. You either had to move them a half a millimeter, or a lot, or it wouldn't matter because the temp wouldn't stay where it was set to anyway. That is an easy fix that I would think the owners would want to do for their own sanity. But overall, it was a GREAT place and we really enjoyed it.
